Le Ha Thu Oanh Alicia is a historian of childhood and French Indochina. Her MPhil thesis tracks the rise of a socio-cultural history of indigenous Vietnamese childhood under French rule through a cluster of children’s literature, modern theatre, visual culture, and literary memoirs. She’s also a poet, writer, and translator whose creative works have appeared, under the pen name Ally Le, on Zzz Review, Art Nation, Mekong Review, This is Southeast Asia, Canto Cutie, The Primer, The Newsletter of the IIAS (Leiden University), and forthcoming elsewhere.
