Workshop: Shape Your Career Path

Are you anxious about life after university? Don’t know where to begin with your job search? Confused about how a BA in History will translate into “real world” work experience? Join the Department of History’s first Career Pathways event: a two-hour practical and interactive workshop with a Hong Kong business leader. Leave the workshop with more confidence in what you want to achieve in your career and more clarity on how to go about it.

During the workshop we will:

· Identify your core values and determine what truly matters to you in a career.

· Translate your academic experiences into work focused narratives.

· Demystify “networking” and learn how to make meaningful professional connections.

Workshop Leader: Alla Semiletova, Director, EY

Alla is a business leader with over 20 years of experience across broad range of corporate roles in Europe and Asia including sales, strategy, business development and consulting. Passionate about community and paying it forward Alla has been a mentor in The Women’s Foundation, Ernst & Young Women Leadership program, and provides career coaching at HKU. As a yoga therapist and a wellness practitioner in her coaching approach Alla combines the wisdom gained from the ancient teachings with modern day business realities.
